Thank you for your partnership!!! And now MDI needs your help as we move into 2007.

MDI is growing in all of our roles. We continue to mentor, encourage and advise ministries. Here are some areas where you can be involved:

• The MDI Ministry Center has our first staff in Ukraine, Sveta Boiko. The Ministry Center needs $16,000 to be in full operation. The Ministry Center coordinates, oversees and produces conferences.

• The Invalid Children’s Ministry of New Life Church has an annual budget of $18,000 that we are helping support. Join us!

• The Center for Leadership Development needs to raise $36,000 to support their staff for 2007.

• MDI is helping to raise $900,000 for a building for New Life Church. We are almost there. Please take us over the top!!!!

• Marti Scudder, Executive Director, and Steve Lorenz, CEO, raise personal support for their expenses to provide leadership for MDI. Both need additional funding to continue to build MDI’s ministry. Please help them make 2007 a record year for MDI.

• Please pray for MDI and all the ministries we work with in 2007

Current events in 2007

Ben Robinson, of the Center for Leadership Development, along with MDI, is starting Loza, a Center for Christian Thought in Kiev, Ukraine. This ministry will have a retreat focus where individuals will have a place to reconnect the fraying strands of their busy lives with the unchanging nature of God’s character by applying the truth of scripture to everyday life.

Conferences in April — MDI is leading a team of women as they teach and minister at a conference in Kiev for 300 women and then will hold a similar conference in L’viv. The theme of this year’s conference is “A Woman’s Journey.” At the same time, MDI will host a conference for the Center for Leadership Development with others on the team from Nashville.

Another Pastor’s Conference is planned for the Fall on Lay Leadership in the church.

MDI announces a new Missions Ministry for the church

MDI desires to increase its services to the church by providing a missions infrastructure and kingdom-minded ministry through coordinated long-term and short term mission opportunities both at Home and World. MDI will be creating partnerships between missions organizations and churches to bring opportunity for a greater base of involvement for church members than most churches individually could provide. We believe in the power of the Gospel and that through it we reach out to the city, nation, and world. We are facilitators, educators and encouragers. We want opportunities to be available to every member in your church. Please call MDI to discover more.

Eph. 4:16 From Him the whole body, joined and held together, ... grows and builds itself up in love as each part does its work.

MDI News of 2006

Pastor’s Conference in Kiev: Over 100 pastors from all over Ukraine came together as part of MDI’s On-going Pastor Education Ministry. Dr. Ray Ortlund taught on “How to Apply the Old Testament Today”. Dr. Anderson Spickard spoke on “True Leadership” and as leader one must take care of oneself. He saw over 50 people to discuss medical issues. David Guthrie spoke on “Walking through Grief and Sorrow” as he shared his testimony of losing two children and how to minister in times of great loss. This team also ministered in L’viv to church leaders and in a prison.

New Life Church (NLC): MDI’s ongoing relationship with NLC continued as we prayed and encouraged our friends as they go through the government bureaucratic process of purchasing property for a future church building. We also work with their Invalid, Street Kids, and Regeneration Ministries.

Radooga Youth Ministry:
MDI is an advisor and mentor to Radooga as they are reorganizing their ministry and preparing for the future. Radooga had one of the most successful years ever. At the beginning of the year, they launched a conference tour to disciple youth across Ukraine. These were held in public venues in four cities. In the summer, they held five English language evangelistic camps. There were over one thousand Ukrainian youth attending from all over the country along with over one hundred American young adults serving as counselors. This fall they are holding week-long training seminars for Pastors.

Center for Leadership Development (CLD):
MDI led CLD in three multi-day retreats as we prayed and evaluated their ministry. As a result, a new course will be offered in the fall of 2007—”Program Red.” This program for high school and college students will help each student understand their gifts, provide mentoring along with coursework, and will help support the ministry. The Vision Foundation of Legalbill in Nashville held a golf tournament on October 16 to support CLD.

Paul and Tanya Becker’s Orphanage Ministry: In August, the Beckers came to Nashville and were able to connect with several churches. MDI hosted a dinner to spread the word about this impactful ministry which is changing the lives of children in Internot #4 in Odessa, Ukraine. MDI has been a close friend of this ministry for years.
